By using Ledgr, you agree to these terms.

License

The desktop version of Ledgr is licensed under the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0 (AGPL-3.0). The full license text is available in the LICENSE file. The mobile version (when available) is distributed under a separate proprietary End User License Agreement.

Warranty Disclaimer

THERE IS NO WARRANTY FOR THE PROGRAM, TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW. EXCEPT WHEN OTHERWISE STATED IN WRITING THE COPYRIGHT HOLDERS AND/OR OTHER PARTIES PROVIDE THE PROGRAM “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. Ledgr is a financial management tool only. Nothing in the app constitutes financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. You are solely responsible for your financial decisions. Consult a qualified professional for financial advice.

Data Security Responsibility

You are responsible for:

  • Securing access to your device
  • Managing your database encryption password
  • Maintaining backups of your financial data
  • Protecting any exported data files

Ledgr stores all data locally on your device. If your device is compromised, your data may be at risk.

Third-Party Services

Ledgr integrates with the following third-party services, each subject to their own terms:

  • Yahoo Finance API — Used for market price data when you add investment ticker symbols.
  • Bank OFX servers — Used for direct bank transaction sync. Your banking credentials are sent directly to your bank.
  • GitHub Releases API — Used for checking for application updates.

We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or terms of these third-party services.

Refund Policy

  • Desktop: Ledgr desktop is free and open-source software. No purchase, no refund.
  • Mobile (future): Subject to Google Play’s refund policy (48-hour window).

Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
